Location:    Home Office, Sandpoint, ID


Position Statement:

We are currently seeking a qualified Jewelry Designer / Product Developer to join our product development team at the Home Office.  Through an intimate understanding of the Coldwater Creek customer, an ability to identify fashion trends and business opportunities, as well as a comprehensive understanding of materials, componentry and production, the Designer / Product Developer will be responsible for developing the jewelry collection from concept to delivery.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Intimate knowledge and understanding of the Coldwater Creek customer.
  • Researching seasonal trends and keeping up with the trends; bringing new ideas through design, competitive shopping and research.
  • Execute strong product offering that insures Coldwater Creek quality, brand, integrity, customer satisfaction and meets or exceeds financial requirements.
  • Develop product with a comprehensive understanding of the cost of goods and be able develop to a specific price point.
  • Develop strong cross-functional partnerships with technical design team, quality assurance, and production team to ensure proper metals and materials are used.
  • Develop strong cross-functional partnerships with channel merchants to ensure financial goals are met.
  • Communicate daily with overseas and local vendors.
Job Requirements:
  • Must have 4+ years experience in fashion jewelry design, women’s specialty retail experience preferred.
  • Proven experience in the development of proprietary product.
  • Must be an independent thinker and have strong problem solving abilities.
  • Successful track record of business growth and bottom line results.
  • Acute sense of brand and customer intimacy.
  • Strong fashion sense with the ability to envision and interpret fashion trends for the Brand.
  • Solid presentation, negotiating and influencing skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong computer skills, especially in Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Team/collaborative player.
  • Ability to manage ambiguity and change – flexible.
  • Well organized, self starter and multi task oriented.
  • Ability to travel.
