SSM Health Care located in St. Louis, Missouri is one of the largest Catholic health systems in the country. The system owns, manages and is affiliated with 20 acute care hospitals and two nursing homes in four states: Missouri, Illinois, Wisconsin and Oklahoma. 

SMM Integrated Health Technologies is currently seeking to fill a Regional Desktop and Infrastructure Manager position in Oklahoma.  Under the general direction of the Regional Chief Information Officer, this individual will work towards the goal of enhancing patient care and/or improving the effectiveness of the hospital by effectively supervising employees under this position’s responsibility and making the best use of the installed technology. 

The primary responsibilities for this position include insuring effective operations of all networks, application servers, telecommunications, and desktop infrastructure, making recommendations for network infrastructure enhancement and provide leadership implementation and support process.  This person will provide recommendations to implement appropriate systems and innovative technology for use in increasing the overall efficiency of the hospital and its affiliates.  This individual is also responsible for region-wide technical support, and operations activities.  This individual will coordinate or independently manage the integration and support of complex multi-varied and multi-level applications and network communications involving complex server, workstation telephony support and project management.

We are considering those candidates with advanced knowledge of IT development, systems analysis, design, project management and leadership skills for application development.

Ability to influence staff and initiate effective changes appropriate in a health care environment.

Lead by example, fostering strong, positive work relationships between the Information Systems staff and their customer.

                 Ability to assign resources, perform cost/time estimates, and benefit and risk analysis

Position requires 5 to 7 years of IT experience with supervisory and project management responsibility and a Bachelors Degree in nursing, management information systems, or a related degree.
