Position summary
Mergermarket US Ltd is looking for a second member to join their New York based helpdesk team providing user desktop support in a windows XP environment. The helpdesk team also support users in other remote location through the world, in addition to supporting mergermarket’s own applications.
Main Job Tasks and Responsibilities
- Respond to requests for technical assistance in person, via phone, & electronically
- Diagnose and resolve technical hardware and software issues
- Research questions using available information resources
- Advise user on appropriate action
- Follow standard help desk procedures & processes
- Log all help desk interactions
- Redirect problems to appropriate resource
- Identify and escalate situations requiring urgent attention
- Track and route problems and requests and document resolutions
- Prepare activity/usage & system check reports
- Stay current with system information, changes and updates
Education and Experience
- Bachelors degree or equivalent
- Previous helpdesk/support role
- Sound working knowledge of Microsoft Operating systems, PC hardware (Dell & HP) and other network peripheral equipment
- Experience of BES, Symantec AV Server, & workstation imaging a bonus
- Knowledge and experience of customer service practices
- Ideally MCSE qualified
