Responsibilities

  • Monitoring and Phone Support

  • Use Remote Control tools monitoring tools to troubleshoot and isolate issues.

  • First Level Support for general desktop troubles.

  • Service Call processing - Create new tickets within our ticketing system queue. Review and assign unassigned tickets in our ticketing system queue. Review and redirect non Helpdesk tickets to appropriate teams. Follow-up with team members on tickets approaching deadlines.

  • Call Management and problem resolution - Provide technical support to business users received through tasks, Help Desk calls and other forms of communications. Escalate issues to appropriate teams when necessary.

  • Escalation Support - serve as and coordinate escalation support for regional offices.

  • After hours support role - Assist team members with after-hours support rotation. Support of off-production issues, escalated issues from regional offices.

  • Keep management apprised of all critical issues as per the escalation procedure.

  • Work with vendors to troubleshoot and solve issues locally and in regional offices.

  • General desktop support and service requests (change, add, moves) for hardware and software.

  • Handle end user desktop deployment.

  • Supporting desktop products including Microsoft products and Mac OS.

 

Network Support

  • Perform change, add, moves (CAM) for desktop devices connected to the network.

  • Level-one network troubleshooting of physical and logical connectivity issues.

  • Monitor and troubleshoot network equipment (including routers, switches, and servers).

  • Perform change, add, moves (CAM) for phones.

Required Qualifications


  • Technical Skills

  • Office 2003/2007 including Outlook 2003/2007

  • Windows desktop OS deployment/imaging 

  • Windows 2003/2008 server management tools including Active Directory and Exchange

  • Comms: patching, arranging cabling

  • Hardware: Desktops, Laptops and Printers (recovery or escalation to system engineer where necessary)

  • In-depth working experience of PC hardware/software configuration and maintenance

  • Laptops: experience of remote access including VPNs

  • Degree Holder in Computer Science, Information Systems or a related discipline

  • At least 3 years’ relevant working experience

  • Basic knowledge of SAP administration is an advantage (i.e. create new user, reset password, etc)

  • An approachable and effective communicator; able to explain the impact of technical issues in understandable terms to users

  • Self motivate, Independent, and capable to work under pressure

  • Team player with good interpersonal and communication skills

  • Good experience in developing users and regional vendors relationship

  • Adaptable & willing to undertake new tasks with minimum instruction and supervision
