In doing so the Analyst will help ensure maximum productivity and minimum downtime to our customers and providing the highest level of service and support to all users. To accomplish this goal, the Analyst is responsible for analyzing, designing and implementing solutions for Desktop Technologies projects. Daily tasks and responsibilities
1. Lead role on departmental project and technology initiatives
2. Packaging and deployment of software applications to large enterprise utilizing SMS/SCCM and Wise along with other packaging tools to design test and implement the standards and configuration for all machines in the enterprise
3. Execute BMC Software - Remedy - systems- Incident, Request and Change Management processes and procedures, while Maintaining SLP (Service Level Partnerships)
4. Development and management of images and deployment procedures for home office and the POS Stores environments
5. Troubleshooting and resolving complex 2nd and 3rd Level PC/peripheral related issues revolving around both hardware, software and applications
6. Communication with business areas within the company to understand and assess needs
7. Research and integration of new PC and Mac related technology creating a birth to grave strategy
8. Stay current on business and industry related technology to support various business areas
9. Responsible for reducing and eliminating Operations and Maintenance duties by analyzing and root cause analysis observations
10. Meet or exceed performance metrics related to productivity, availability, and quality
11. Lead and teach others on the necessary information required to support and maintain PC and Mac technologies
* PC hardware such as Dell Desktops, Laptops, Blackberries, Local and LAN attached printers and other PC/Mac Peripherals
* PC Software such as Microsoft Windows based applications, MAC/OSx, Antivirus Software, Adobe products, terminal emulation software and various 3rd party Client/Server applications.
* Proven experience analyzing and designing solutions for enterprise PC technologies.
* Technical knowledge of: Microsoft Operating Systems, Management of PC technologies, Security, and Application packaging technologies. This includes experience with configuration, packaging and PC management technologies that simplify and standardize PC management processes.
* Execute BMC Software - Remedy - systems- Incident, Request and Change Management processes and procedures, while Maintaining SLP (Service Level Partnerships)
* Exemplary troubleshooting skills that include network protocols, hardware diagnostics, and client operating systems.
* An understanding of Design applications like WebPDM, U4ia and CAD system recommended
* Excellent customer service skills and superior telephone etiquette.
* Strong written and oral communication skills and able to work effectively with all levels of the business and IS personnel.
* Proven documentation skills and experience conducting technical training classes for others.
* Demonstrated strong organizational skills and proven ability to meet tight deadlines as well as coordinate, prioritize and communicate project statuses.
* Must be a team player, friendly, communicative, open, honest, thoughtful and committed. Must work cooperatively with others, sharing ideas, collaborating and ultimately, putting team goals first.
* Must be willing to travel, work evenings, weekends and holidays and be able to provide 24 X 7 X 365 on-call coverage.
* Must be self-motivated and able to work independently or with team members with little supervision.
* 3- 4 years job experience with PC/MAC Desktop support
* Minimum 5 years experience configuring, supporting and installing PCs and peripherals in a large distributed environment for both Home Office and Stores.
* Minimum 3 years experience packaging applications and application updates with tools such as, Microsoft SMS, SCCM, SCOM and Altiris.
* Must have 3 years experience supporting users and deploying applications via Microsoft Systems Management Server (SMS), SCCM or other like PC software management applications.
* Must have 3 years experience developing and deploying images using tools like Microsoft Deployment Toolkit, SMS (SCCM), WinPE, Altiris, Ghost and/or similar deployment applications.
* 3 years proven experience with Apple Macintosh Desktops and Laptops, focusing on OSX and applications in the design and marketing areas. Need to have a strong understanding of all Adobe products, including CS2 and CS3.
* 2 years proven experience coordinating multiple large cross department projects.
