Job Summary
Assists Business Development Director in implementation of the business development strategy for the office. Gather information on potential markets, clients and projects fully utilizing other Lend Lease contacts to maximize group sales.
Responsibilities
The following statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed byindividuals assigned to this position. They are not intended to be an exhaustive list of all duties, responsibilities and skills required of personnel so classified.
1. Assists with identifying potential client and project opportunities, contacting long-term clients and monitoring our performance of projects.
2. As directed, maintains ongoing client relationships even after project start up or hand off to senior Bovis Lend Lease professionals.
3. Manages the development and preparation of proposals and interview materials while soliciting guidance from the Business Development Director or Senior Business Development Manager.
4. Builds positive relationships with sources for lead generation (i.e., A/E firms, consultants, etc.).
5. Assists with the development of the office's sales strategy by coordinating the office's sales efforts (i.e., scheduling meetings with potential clients, ensures the department is spending an appropriate amount of time in sales activities, etc.).
6. Develops an understanding of the competition in local market area.
7. Assists with implementing an office public relations plan developed by the office. In absence of senior business developers, assists in developing a public relations strategy with Corporate Communications.
Cooperates with Local Marketing utilizing their resources and services to support office marketing and sales efforts.
8. Cooperates and coordinates with other regional offices as needed to maximize group wide sales.
9. Develops and obtains approval for personal Business Plan that includes anticipated sales revenue and budget.
10. Assists the business development director in meeting sales goals for the year.
11. May provide support in terms of strategy and liaison with clients to Focused Business Units to develop business within focused sectors.
12. Assists Business Development Director or Principal in Charge to solicit involvement of other members of the OMT in developing strategy for pursuit of specific project opportunities.
Minimum Requirements
1. Four-year degree in business administration, communications, marketing or technical related field.
2. 3 to 5 years business development experience in the construction/engineering/architecture industry (i.e., general contractor, CM, design/build) and knowledge of construction/architecture terminology.
3. Proven experience with deadline pressure, prioritizing and organizing multiple projects simultaneously.
4. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
5. Work experience with all Microsoft Office applications.
