JOB DESCRIPTION: The Device Engineer is responsible for understanding Hardware and Software as it relates to the Cellular South Network and will be combined with testing and approval for use on the Cellular South Network.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelors of Science Degree in an Engineering or IT related field required. Two years experience in telecommunications industry, or other technology field, Wireless CDMA experience preferred. Knowledge and understanding of advanced consumer-based technologies a must. Proficiency with JavaScript, Perl, HTML/XML, dynamic HTML, C/C++, Microsoft, Unix/Linux a must. Excellent organizational skills, and project management discipline, and ability to handle high-profile challenges. Responsible for software development of all new products for Cellular South. Strong hardware background. Must have strong problem solving skills and high level of initiative. Must be able to prioritize and handle multiple projects simultaneously in a fast past environment. Must be self motivated, responsible and quick learner.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Limited travel required with some overnight stay.
