Diesel Engine Calibration Engineer

What You'll Do
At John Deere Power Systems, the diesel engine calibration engineers develop diesel engine performance calibrations to meet existing and future emissions regulations. In addition you will: - Create a test plan that will thoroughly evaluate engine performance
- Contribute to component development (fuel systems, air system, etc.) including specification development and supplier interaction.
- Effectively work with other engine functional groups including Engine Controls, Base Engine, Aftertreatment, and Applications.
What It Takes
We need excellent communicators, who thrive on solving problems and working in a team environment. Ideally you will have a BS degree in Mechanical or Agricultural Engineering or 3 years of engine calibration experience. In addition we require: - 3 years of experience with diesel engines, subsystems, and individual component development and qualification.
- Knowledge of electronic engine control systems and demonstrated proficiency in the use of controller development tools and calibration techniques.
- Proficiency in the use of engine test lab equipment, data acquisition, and data analysis tools.
- Knowledge of diesel engine emissions control technologies.
