Cummins NPower, the area’s exclusive engine and power generation systems distributor for Cummins products, seeks qualified candidates for the following position:

Position:          Diesel Engine Technician/Mechanic

Location:         Minot, North Dakota

Key Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot failures, diagnose, repair, and rebuild Cummins engines
• Remove and install engines in equipment chassis
• Remove and install components on engines, in and out of chassis
• Rebuild engine components
• Perform maintenance and repairs on truck chassis
• Document the work performed
• Maintain training requirements for position

Critical Experience, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities by Dimension:

Functional/Technical

• Experience and/or education in repair of diesel engines
• Knowledge and understanding of engine theory and operation
• Able to use a computer and programs such as Quick Serve On-line and INSITE
• Able to read instructions and communicate effectively
• Have own tools and toolbox
• CDL with clean driving history preferred
• Excellent customer support skills.

Physical Requirements

• Able to lift 25-100lbs, and use proper lifting tools and techniques
•  Work will be performed indoors, with occasional outside work
• Bend, stretch, stand, kneel, twist and climb on equipment
•  Wear safety equipment at all times and perform all tasks in a safe and efficient manner
