As a Digital Advertising Sales Specialist you will be expected to support and develop opportunities to grow interactive/online advertising revenue for the Torrance Daily Breeze (www.dailybreeze.com). Cultivating relationships with clients, gaining deep insight into their business and creatively designing solutions for their marketing and advertising goals is critical to the success of this role. The Digital Advertising Sales Specialist is expected to generate a high volume of sales related activity including cold calling, presentations, requests for proposals, and campaign results reporting and continuously prospect to close new revenue.
Some of our interactive and online advertising products include banner ads for the online and mobile editions of the newspaper, on partner sites such as Yahoo! in addition to ad exchanges, email marketing, search engine marketing, social media and text messaging. This role is critical to supporting the overall revenue objectives of our organization.
The ideal candidate will have strong oral, written and interpersonal skills, excellent communication and presentation skills including basic computer skills for Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint. Must have excellent closing and time managements skills and be able to work in a fast paced and deadline oriented environment. Most importantly, we are looking for a proven track record of success in online media sales, direct experience with selling ad serving, rich media, email, online media or technology. Some college preferred, although a high school diploma and 2-4 years of proven sales experience in Interactive platforms may be substituted for a degree. Experience with back-end tools for inventory assessment, SEM, SEO and CPM rating is necessary and the ability to stay up-to-date with industry developments are essential for success in this role. Print media experience will also be helpful. This position requires a valid CA Driver’s license with a good driving record.
