Wahlstrom Group is the second largest advertising agency specializing in the planning and placement of directory marketing, specializing in the field of on-demand advertising. We have an excellent opportunity for a Campaign Strategist in our Norwalk, CT office.
This position works closely with the Account Manager and Strategy Director and is responsible for researching and devising an interactive media strategy, media and data analyses and reporting and optimizations to help guarantee the development, understanding, and execution of our client’s goals.
Responsibilities Include:
Campaign Development
- Expertise in current and emerging interactive advertising opportunities
- Recommendation of online media venues to account and client
- Define top-line media strategy and best practices based on client goals
- Development of spending strategies based on campaign goals and performance
- Creative recommendations to account and client
- Research and continued probing of digital landscape and opportunities including use of systems to evaluate sites, demographics and other key data
Campaign Management
- Media optimizations based on campaign performance goals
- Recommendation of expansions or refinements to current media buys
- Development of testing strategies across campaign variables and media venues
- Participation in regular client calls and infrequent in-person client meetings that may require travel
Reporting
- Data analyses to determine performance successes and failures and subsequent actions
- Generation of regularly scheduled reports and customized reporting and analyses based on client or account needs
- Work within various third-party tracking technologies to track and monitor media performance
- Evaluation and reporting on testing initiatives and new media opportunities
Operations
- Creation and implementation of tracking technology as necessary
- Contact with vendor-side managers to set best practices, learn of new functionalities and opportunities, implement campaign changes, troubleshoot, etc.
Qualifications
- Background in performance-based marketing and understanding of vital metrics
- Strong background in critical thinking and data analyses based on over-arching strategies and objectives
- Proven understanding of Interactive Marketing, including search engine marketing and CPM ad network buys
- Basic awareness of emerging interactive media including video, mobile and voice-activated search among others
- Refined time-management skills and the ability to work within tight deadlines
- Ability to work independently on projects as well as part of a larger team
- Innovative thinker who can evolve processes over time
- Desire to learn and grow within a fast-paced, emerging industry
