About the Opportunity

The Digital/Direct Mail Programmer/Operator is responsible for serving as the primary point of completion for defined direct marketing applications.  This includes the accurate and timely completion of programming and producing jobs ensuring the highest degree of customer satisfaction.  This position is a focal point of contact for internal and external customers to define improvements to existing customer applications.

Some specific responsibilities include:

• Implement the technical mailing functions required for defined customer applications, based on the mailing job specifications.
• Ensures date is accurate, complete and meets the customer requirements.
• Works with external and internal customers to develop strong relationships.
• Applies an understanding of the customer's business to develop the most efficient solution for producing the required output and for proactively identifying issues.
• Communicates on key application attributes and specifics effecting job output and keeps all involved partied informed.
• Maintains current knowledge of all mailing regulations and practices.

Required Skills

• Must be at least 18 years of age
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Must have 1 - 2 years prevous programming experience
• Fluent understanding of Microsoft desktop applications
• Understanding of database table structure, issues and design
• Software experience to include: Darwin 3.0 (for color variable set-ups). InDesign CS4 Suite, BCC (or Presort/Database Management software), and PrintShop Mail
• Understanding of file and color management issues
• Ability to complete CASS certifications and presort of mailing address data
• Typeset digital print pieces with variable components
• Maintain attention to detail and high quality control standards in a high paced, timeline driven, multi-task environment
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Desired press operator experience includes operating DIgital Variable Presses such as Igen, NexPress Indigo, Xerox Color Docutech 6060 - and black digital presses such as Xerox 6180 and 6135.
