Description
The primary purpose of the job is to assist in the production and quality control for the CSC High Resolution Digital Capture center. The production will consist of image capture, image manipulation, image processing, quality assurance and image delivery. The job is onsite full time at the Client's place of business located in a government building in Culpepper, VA. Major duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
Essential Job Functions
- Will operate the capture, post production, and handling of archival materials under CSC's HRDC solution

Will work with client to provide required image quality

Digitally preserve archival materials which could include (negatives, transparencies, prints, photographs, books, maps, and documents)
- Adhere to all CSC policies and proceduresOperates document imaging machines to image company records. Verifies the work of less experienced personnel to ensure the imaging process meets quality control standards.
- Commits and indexes documents. Reviews of work of less experienced personnel to ensure the commit and index process meets company standards. Ensures records are cataloged and stored per company policy and procedure to ensure the safety and security of materials.
- Maintains, services and makes basic adjustments to equipment as required to reduce servicing costs.
- Identifies type and category of document for imaging and enters document into appropriate database. Assist less experienced personnel in category/index determination to ensure correct entry.
- Groups documents into appropriate batches and prepares documents for scanning. Maintains log and prepares reports to document status.
Qualification
Basic Qualifications
- High school diploma
- Two or more years of document imaging experience
- Experience working with company recordkeeping and storage policies and procedures regarding vital records
- Experience working with document imaging machines
- Experience with duplicating and other relevant machines such as photocopy, facsimile and binding machines
Other Qualifications
- Based on contract requirements, Bachelor's degree from an accredited college is required
- Minimum 3+ years of specialized experience in photography with an emphasis in digital imaging
- Must have knowledge and experience in digital imaging and photographic science
- Organization and time management skills to balance and prioritize work
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Ability to keep written records
