Job Description:

Director of Philippines Accounting Operations Center

This outstanding opportunity is in the Philippines!

As Director of Accounting/Finance, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the Accounting Operations Center located in the Philippines. These responsibilities include supporting both Philippines and U.S. operations.

The Philippines perspective of this position involves hiring, training and oversight for Accounting Operations Center employees; coordinating the month end, quarterly, and annual financial close processes with the Dallas and India accounting and finance staff; processing A/P, payroll, and all internal and external reporting of financial results and analyses of the Philippines operations on a consolidated basis; ensuring the Philippines operations are compliant with all reporting requirements and monitoring the adequacy of certain reserves.

Support of U.S. operations will involve certain invoicing, payroll, cash application and accounts payable functions for field operations and corporate accounting, process documentation, ad hoc projects, identification of additional processes to migrate and subsequent transitioning of those tasks to the Philippines.

This position also provides support to the company's independent auditors regarding transactions and accounting processes to ensure results are properly stated.

• Manage the Philippines Accounting Operations Center (U.S. support) – 70%
• Hire, develop and oversee the continuity of Philippines accounting department employees
• Oversee the transition of various accounting processes from U.S. to Philippines
• Perform, coordinate and oversee certain aspects of the U.S. financial close and reporting processes with U.S. field operations and corporate (Dallas) accounting
• Identify and implement additional off shoring opportunities
• Manage Philippines Field Accounting – 20%
• Responsible for managing all aspects of the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial accounting close process, including balance sheet analysis, tax filings, bank reconciliations, and reporting for the Philippines based operations
• Develop and monitor consistency of controls, policies, and procedures across accounting functions to ensure a high level of internal controls that are in line with Philippines and US GAAP
• Perform detailed monthly financial analysis and trend analysis for the Philippines operations
• Integrate and improve accounting data flow between U.S. and Philippine operations
• Coordinate and plan the activities associated with the preparation of schedules and data for the external audit by D&T
• Perform financial analysis and participate in ad hoc accounting projects – 10%
• Document processes and controls for both Philippines Field operations and Accounting Operations Center
• Assist U.S. Directors in workflow and task analyses

Relocation assistance available for an ideal candidate who is a citizen of the Philippines and speaks the language fluently !

An ideal candidate will:

• BS (or equivalent) in Accounting, Finance or related area
• MBA or equivalent, CPA or equivalent
• 10+ years progressive experience in financial accounting management
• In-depth knowledge of U.S. and Philippines GAAP and accounting principles and practices
• Highly motivated self-starter requiring minimal supervision: ability to work independently
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Demonstrated coaching and leadership ability
• Able to balance local needs with a strong corporate governance perspective
• Strong customer orientation towards operations as well as corporate and field accounting and finance
• Highly organized
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Knowledge of corporate accounting software applications; Microsoft office suite
• Supervises 3-8 employees, oversees department of 8-15
