About the Job

Summary:
The Online Marketing Manager is responsible for maximizing sales, traffic, and profitability as it relates to both customer acquisition and customer retention. Specific media expertise includes: Search Engine Marketing (SEM), Search Engine Optimization (SEO), and Affiliate Marketing and E-Mail programs.


Essential Responsibilities:
*Manage the following programs: CPC, SEM, SEO, Affiliate, Banner Advertising, Re-marketing, etc

*Develop and manage the internal and external linking strategy. *Manage & refine affiliate marketing efforts to further optimize the channel. *Strengthen existing relationships, develop relationships with new affiliates, and manage affiliate agency partner (s) to monitor compliance across network.

*Manage the contact strategy, segmentation/target, testing, and content optimization.
*Create and manage the marketing calendar.
*Recommend new ideas and technologies to grow and improve the e-mail channel & marketing
*Designing and implementation of social networking features, activities and events.
*Development of blog updates, podcasts, videos, online posts and newsletters to promote the community, featured members, new content, etc.
*Establish an implementation strategy for 3rd party content that will enrich the overall user experience and keep the community fresh for frequent visitors.
*Integrate features that sync with Facebook, MySpace, Twitter and other social networking websites
*Partner with key marketing teams to integrate Joann.com into the bricks and mortar customer experience. This will include messaging in print as well as in-store signage, collateral, and electronic mediums.

Education Requirements:
Minimum: College degree required.
Preferred: MBA preferred

Experience Requirements:
Minimum: Requires 2+ years online retail marketing experience. Requires demonstrated competency driving  SEO and SEM & CPC campaigns.  Graphic design is a plus.
Other Skills or Certifications:
MS office programs (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint) Experience with some or all of the following: HTML, Photoshop, Illustrator, Web Trends, Google Analytics, Google AdWords, Google Base, Google AdSense, CoreMetrics, Omniture
