For over 80 years, Hammer has been a leader in services for people with developmental disabilities.  Headquarterd in Wayzata, we have locations located throughout the western suburbs in cluding St. Louis Park, Golden Valley, Minnetonka, Wayzata, Plymouth and Maple Grave.  We are excited to be expanding our services and are currently looking for experienced, dedicated individuals who have a passion for working with people with disabilities. 

Direct Support Professional

Hammer currently has openings for Direct Support Professionals in our homes located throughout the Western Suburbs.  Full-Time and Part-Time positions are currently available including evenings, weekends and overnights.  The hours of these positions vary and are often perfect for the student or as a second job!

Job duties include:

    -   Provide daily supervision and skill development for people with disabilities

    -   Ensuring physical environment exceeds state guidelines and compliance standards are met

    -   Assisting with community activities and opportunities

    -   Providing medical administration and documentation

    -   Assisting with resident medical appointments and needs

    -   Providing behavioral intervention and support

    -   Client direct care

Other requirements for this position include:

    -   A valid driver's license and reliable transportation

    -   2 or 4 year degree in related field (preferred but not required)

    -  Ability to pass a criminal background check and driving record check
