
Judge Executive Search is currently seeking a Director/Associate Director of Brand Marketing for a major manufacturer in the food industry. This role entails the following areas of brand marketing: Brand, Innovation, Insights & Planning, and Media & Marketing Operations.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Create the foundational thinking required to create visibility behind the strategic direction of the company’s brands
· Provide a longer-term set of guardrails from which we activate our brands and build more enduring, consistent and powerful relationships with our consumers
· Minimize the need for constant strategic reworking and free up time to optimize the activation of our brands.
· Create cross-functional alignment to integrate other functions into brand activation
· Be proficient in the areas of Communication Strategy, Product Strategy, Innovation Strategy, and Brand Image
· Be proficient in assessing strong brand strategy and execution, along with being able to identify poor brand strategy and execution and how to fix them
· Manage the P&L and possess superior analytical skills
· Possess an expert level understanding of consumers and how to develop ideas into marketing strategy
· Be an excellent coach, astute at providing feedback to motivate targeted results
· Be a superior assessor and developer of marketing talent and be willing to make “tough calls” relating to talent
· Must be able to bring together the sub-functions of marketing in the areas of brand, innovation, insights & planning (research), and media & marketing operations (includes promotions), to effectively develop winning brand strategies and supporting tactics for execution
REQUIREMENTS:
· Bachelor’s degree in a related field is required (MBA or Master’s degree in marketing or other related field is preferred)
· Must have a minimum of 6-8 years for associate director and 8-10 years for director with 2+ years of supervisory experience
· Previous experience in creating marketing, sales, or communication strategy is required
· Experience in media management across platforms and from vendors and agency partners
· The ability to effectively engage and interact with business unit, country, and area leadership teams and Company executives is required
· Must act as a champion of digital communication and media and proactively drive a change in business practices
· Must have technology and communication knowledge and have the ability to influence and collaborate with executive level leaders, both by formal and informal communications and presentations
