NAVTEQ is the leading provider of digital map data for Vehicle Navigation, Internet & Wireless applications and Business Solutions. Cutting edge applications such as these are part of a growing set of applications that enhance consumer's access to information while they are mobile. We have coined the term informed mobility' to represent this emerging need.

 

NAVTEQ data is used in virtually all of the leading navigation systems in both North America and Europe. Our customers rely on NAVTEQ digital map information for use in their applications based on its accuracy, detail and completeness.

 

We are currently looking for a Director B2B Marketing Communications – 14698 in Chicago, IL.

 

Position Summary:  This person will spearhead the North American Marketing Communications effort with additional APAC (China) responsibility, developing and executing marketing communication strategies in the Americas and contributing to a global marketing communication effort.

 

Responsibilities:

·         Lead Americas / AP marketing communications team in keeping with global communication strategies

·         Hold responsibility for strategic direction and content of all materials produced by Marketing Communication in NA

·         Provide strategic input into development of global communication strategies and policies

·         Contribute strong copywriting and editing skills for a variety of print materials, from news releases and media advisories, to brochures and customer correspondence, customer presentations, and other projects

·         Provide project supervision and communication counsel for the development and scripting of promotional tools such as multimedia presentations, video and audio news releases, B-roll, corporate videos, and other related communication tools.

·         Integrate business unit marketing communications materials into seamless execution

·         Identify and coordinate management presentation in highly visible and strategically targeted industry and trade forums

·         Represent NAVTEQ to outside constituents (press, community, etc.)

·         Help define, manage and execute Marketing communications for China

·         supporting marketing for NAVTEQ direct sales in Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan

·         supporting Sales in addressing Chinese customers desire to do business globally

·         supporting marketing for NAVTEQ’s JV in mainland China

 

Requirements:

·         10 – 15 years  professional experience in a marketing capacity

·         Bachelors degree

·         Strong written and verbal command of English

·         10+ years of marketing experience

·         Strong management skills with cultural sensitivity

·         Strong communications and editing ability

·         Experience with presentation and press release development

·         Able to quickly understand new concepts and translate into written form

·         Ability to craft questions designed to extract information from a variety of contacts

·         Effective utilization of resources within the organization

·         Strong verbal skills; able to represent the company and its executives to external entities

·         Must be self-starting, possess excellent organizational skills

·         Highly effective at establishing and maintaining productive relationships       

·         Broad understanding of marketing, advertising and public relations

·         Understanding of public relations strategy, promotion strategy, media mix, etc.
