SUMMARY
A Director of Business Development is responsible for NextGen Sciences activities and programs with designated key customers within the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and academic channels. The primary responsibility will be to present NGS capabilities to key decision makers within accounts based upon sales leads generated and prospecting. A DBD will also coordinate proposals, assist in the negotiation contracts and service agreements and assure execution on the agreed upon deliverables. The position will interact and coordinate strategies with all appropriate internal stakeholders.

• Demonstrated negotiation skills
• Knowledge and relationships with key accounts
• Knowledge of the purchasing process of pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and academic accounts
• Experience managing sales process through ACT
• Understanding of the drug discovery and development process
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to rapidly assimilate complex, scientific information
• Ability to prioritize and manage to timelines
• Ability to cultivate spheres of influence
• Strong interpersonal and presentation skills
• Ability to multi-task
EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE
SALARY RANGE: 100-110K, Commission (% of revenue booked), plus mileage, standard benefits, including health insurance and matching 401k, stock options after 1 year
