AT&T Interactive (ATTi) Business Development & Partnership Management team plays a pivotal role in structuring, negotiating, and maintaining significant and complex strategic relationships with ATTi partners.
ATTi is looking for a Director of Business Development focusing on the mobile industry who can bring their excellent partner/business development experience to assist us in structuring and negotiating significant and complex relationships. Ideal candidate is a top performer with experience in mobile distribution, content and advertising. This position requires someone who brings high levels of energy and enthusiasm, partner-focused, articulate, diplomatic, persuasive, proactive, entrepreneurial, work effectively within a cross-functional, team environment, and has a demonstrated ability to think creatively. This candidate must also be comfortable presenting to AT&T senior management and negotiating against the senior most executives at our partners. This position reports to the Executive Director of Business Development.
Responsibilities: - Identify, initiate, structure, negotiate, and close strategic revenue generating partnerships for ATTi and other company initiatives.
- Manage day-to-day relationships with mobile business partners and telcos.
- Assessing diverse competitive landscapes and developing strategic plans, evaluating and implementing business development opportunities and forming relationships with significant partners that help increase distribution of ATTi brand and advertisers with mobile distribution partners across all mobile platforms.
- Effectively work cross-functionally with all departments within ATTi and other AT&T business units, including legal, finance, marketing, product, engineering, support and operations.
- Forecast revenue, probability, and time of contract completion.
Requirements: - 10+ years of related corporate strategy, corporate development or business development experience. MBA and / or JD preferred. 5+ years experience in negotiating complex mobile deals.
- Strong understanding of mobile platforms and applications, e.g. J2ME, Windows, Brew, Symbian, iPhone, Android, etc.
- Strong understanding of financial modeling.
- Strong core skills and knowledge across the key functional areas, including product, sales & marketing, finance and operations.
- Excellent presentation, communication, and influencing skills.
- Ability to effectively operate as a self starter with high energy and flexibility in a fast-paced, constantly evolving, team environment.
- Attention to detail.
- Ability to effectively influence and communicate cross-functionally with all levels of management within ATTi and other AT&T business units.
- Strong applications experience (MS Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
- Outstanding people, communication and organizational skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to effectively manage multiple simultaneous projects.
- Prior experience in the mobile industry is a requirement
