Rexnord is a highly respected supplier of Aerospace Products, Industrial Bearings, Couplings, Gears, Modular Conveyor Belting, and Industrial Chain. 

 

The Aerospace business primarily serves the aviation market with high performance / value-added products including Bearings (“PSI Bearings” - #1 market position in spherical bearing products), Seals (“Cartriseal” - #2 market position), and Installation Tooling (“Shafer”). Primary customers include Boeing, General Electric, Pratt & Whitney, Honeywell, Goodrich, Hamilton Sundstrand, Bell Helicopter, Rolls-Royce, Sikorsky and Fiat.  More than 85% of revenues are realized from U.S. based customers. 

 

Brief Description

 

The Director of Customer Program Management, who will be based at our Wheeling, Illinois manufacturing facility, will be the primary owner in refining, developing and executing the overall marketing strategies and programs.  The Director Of Customer Program Management will have the ability to recognize key market strategies and communicate findings via accurate demand forecasts to the business for enhanced operating efficiencies.  Relationally with customers, the Director of Customer Program Management will establish and maintain consistent communications with the appropriate parties across customer organizations to maintain real time awareness of voice of customer (VOC).  The Director of Customer Program Management will be responsible for bookings and serving as the commercial lead in shipping adequate product on a monthly basis to meet respective financial goals.  The role is responsible for all day-to-day activities associated with marketing, sales and customer service.  The successful candidate is able to manage change, lead through influence and drive process improvements by using a strategic, analytical, hands-on approach.

 

Key Accountabilities

 

Ø       SIOP (Sales, Inventory, Operations, Planning) translation into a meaningful demand forecast that offers a clear understanding of what we expect to happen and why

Ø       Generate and Communicate Strategy and Direction

Ø       Conduct and acquire research data to understand key market trends, developments and competitive threats

Ø       Execute market-driven strategic plan that will result in sustainable competitive advantage in served markets

Ø       Develop & implement strategies for market pricing by channel, by product, life cycle, etc

Ø       Support the identification and definition of clear and differentiable value-propositions for specific product and market segments

Ø       Fully understand our Value Proposition and Leverage

Ø       Ensure key marketing metrics and key performance indicator systems are consistently tracking the appropriate measures and provoking appropriate responsive behavior

Ø       Drive methods and tools to improve cost estimating for the purpose of developing quick estimations of new product production costs, standard quotations, etc

Ø       Drive sales team to focus on SEAL needs, and for securing critical strategic programs

Ø       Identify new targets

Ø       Owner of customer perception and Voice of the Customer (VOC)



Job Requirements:

Desirable Experience, Capabilities and Success Factors

  

Ø       At least five years experience in an Aerospace environment

Ø       At least three to five years experience in Aftermarket Sales, Marketing or Business Development

Ø       B.S. in Engineering

Ø       Previous experience in Mechanical Seals desired

Ø       Clearly understand the global aerospace market and the aerospace aftermarket – trends, issues, events and needs.

Ø       Capable of handling multiple tasks and working in a fast-paced environment with minimal direct guidance and supervision.

Ø       Able to adapt to change and be self-motivated.

Ø       Ability to develop, execute and achieve tactical and strategic initiatives through active leadership.

Ø       Able to act with a very strong sense of urgency.
