Sylvan Learning Center, the nation’s
leading provider of supplemental education, is seeking a Center
Director/Director of Education.



An ideal candidate should be detailed minded, have good follow through skills,
be highly motivated and very enthusiastic. You must be an aggressive,
self-starter that will market the Sylvan services and manage the
center. You will utilize your talents to manage the day-to-day operations
of a Sylvan Learning Center, including the curriculum delivery, and the
marketing activities to schools and your surrounding community.

Responsibilities Include:

• Create positive learning
  environment
• Establish and maintain
  collaborative relationships with teachers, educational specialists and
  other school administrators and parent/teacher organizations; engage in
  marketing activities to increase awareness of Sylvan Learning in your
  region.
• Manage day-to-day operations
  including 3-5 part-time teachers





• Up to 25% time directly teaching
  students

Job
Requirements:

• Bachelors Degree
• Teaching credential from any
  state
• Spanish language skills a definite plus, but not required
  
• Minimum Two + years of
  customer service/sales related
  experience
• Excellent verbal communication
  and persuasive skills, and the ability to build relationships
• Ability to work some evening
  hours and some Saturdays
• Good administrative/organizational skills
  
• Empathy
• Extroverted – “people person”
• Computer skills
• Comfort with social media like
  Facebook and Twitter
