The Director of Emergency Services is responsible for departmental oversight, exhibiting expert knowledge of all areas of emergency services operations, productivity, human resources, patient flow, and relationship based care. This individual provides departmental leadership, directs and develops staff as well as educates and acts as a resource to all staff and physicians. The Director facilitates and ensures achievement of exceptional standards of patient/customer experience, quality of service, employee engagement / accountability, physician relations and fiscal goals.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
•MSN or Masters Degree in a Healthcare related field required
•3-5 years of nursing experience in a hospital emergency department
•1-3 years hospital of formal leadership experience in a hospital emergency department
•Ability to embrace shared decision making
•Ability to effectively communicate at all levels of the organization
•Ability to think analytically to develop plans and objectives and to integrate activities with other departments.
•Excellent critical thinking / creative problem solving ability
•Ability to calmly effectively multi task and embrace departmental / organizational change
•Ability to build relationships and facilitate teams
•Ability to withstand and work through ambiguity
