The Director of Field Clinical Engineer will be responsible for creating a world-class FCE team based around the U.S. and providing support to the company’s pivotal clinical trial efforts for their implantable neurostimulation devices.


Responsibilities: 

Recruit, Select, and Train, and manage a team of FCE’s with active electronic implantable medical device expertise who will:

  • Establish, train and maintain clinical sites during first and second phases of clinical trials.
  • Train Sales Representatives (having clinical sites) and Field Clinical Specialists on clinical implantable neurostimulation devices.
  • Provide implant certification evaluation for Sales Representatives and Field Clinical Specialists on clinical devices.
  • Partner with Sales Representatives in the identification and implementation of scientific studies
  • Ensure the timely collection and submission of all data related to Scientific Studies and the specific protocol being followed.
  • Provide field implementation of “special projects” for Clinical and Marketing departments
  • Develop an on-going corporate and technical relationship with teaching institutions (i.e. corporate presentations to key opinion leaders, etc.)
  • Provide implant and follow-up coverage to Sales Representatives in emergency circumstances.
  • Provide special training and product education to new and experienced Sales Representatives when required.
  • Provide technical presentations of products for prospective new Sales Representatives at the request of Sales Director/VP

Requirements: 
  • Bachelor’s degree / Masters degree and five to ten years of cardiac rhythm management, neurostimulation, or active implantable device experience.
  • Working knowledge of electrophysiology/arrhythmia management ( i.e. Lab experience/ NASPE EP Certification/ industry conducted training program) or active electronic implantable neurostimulation device experience.
  • Experience in field implementation of clinical device trials. (Minimum: participation in at least two IDE device trials).
  • Superior communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with all levels of corporate personnel and customer base.
  • Biomedical Engineering background

Travel: 
  • Extensive travel is required.
