Maintains financial stability by establishing financial and accounting frameworks; monitoring and improving financial performance; preparing and analyzing financial reports; managing investments; managing staff. Must be able to provide pertinent information to the Board of Directors, and internal upper management. Must have a Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or business management (Master's Degree preferred) and/or seven years to ten years of experience in accounting, finance, audit or similar role. Requirements
- Supervision of Finance Department staff, including development of staff

Preparing and transmitting payroll bi-weekly

Maintenance of payroll records

Maintenance of all aspects of the general ledger, including preparation and recording of journal entries and adjustments, preparation of reconciliations, and maintaining appropriate backup or support

Preparation of weekly cash flow and budget to actual statements for management review

Preparation of monthly financial statements for departmental budget reviews

Preparation of executive-level financial reports for management and the board of directors, including operating results, cash flow, net assets, and balance sheet

Accounting for and processing of sources and uses of grant monies, bi-weekly payroll, bank and cash transactions, Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) cash transactions, petty cash transactions, and the fixed asset sub-ledger

Coordination of the annual audit, including preparation of work papers

Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word aptitude (experience with Blackbaud software a plus)

Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks

Experience managing others, including the delegation of assignments and development of staff

Ability to drive tasks and assignments to completion with minimal oversight
Certified Public Accountant (CPA) a plus
