Director, Global Credit Card and Electronic Receipts

Basic Function and Scope of the Position

  • Own, lead and actively manage oversight of credit card and electronic receipts operations.

  • Actively manage cross-functional teams (Customer Support, IT, Accounting, Order Ops, Engineering) to efficient and controlled processing environment. 

  • Assess, develop, and/or refine corporate policies and processes for all electronic receipt activities, including controls, automation, timing, and resource allocation.   

  • Together with IT, create a set of metrics that will be utilized to evaluate the efficiency and effectiveness of McAfee's electronic receipt processing environments, including processing accuracy rates, recordation completeness/accuracy, cost per transaction, chargebacks, and timing of receipts.

 
In addition to electronic receipt efforts, this role will also manage projects and programs, of varying size and complexity, within Treasury.   The projects will generally involve payment controls, improving processes or building scalability into the organization. 
 
Superior project management skills are required. Effective written and verbal communication at all levels of the organization is critical to success.  Occasional travel required.
 
Specific Responsibilities/Functions:
 
  • Continually assess and report state of data flow, controls, fraud risk, processes, recordation and programming of electronic receipt environment

  • Lead cross-functional team  to determine appropriate processing strategy, incorporate best practices and  implement monitoring and reporting structure

  • Identify control weaknesses and gaps to ensure all transactions are properly controlled and recorded  

  • Reduce processing errors

  • Ensure the customer payment platforms are scalable and are consistent with the overall McAfee Consumer and SMB business strategy

  • Evaluate all third party vendor service levels in order to ensure the optimum breadth and depth of service capabilities and optimum processing environment

  • Recommends and implement performance criteria for each segment of McAfee's electronic commerce processing functions. Develop business targets and provide analysis and recommendation to executive management to improve the business.

  • Provide ongoing updates to Executive Staff on the status/progress of electronic receipt environment

Supervision and Interface with Others
 
To be effective, the Finance Director must be able to exert leadership and credibility with cross-functional colleagues who do not report to him/her, including senior and executive management.  This role will have regular interaction with senior executives (CFO, CISO, BU Mgmt, etc.).
 
This position will project/program manage teams and work independently to drive projects with cross-functional groups.  Although an individual contributor, the ability to influence successful outcomes and motivate people across functions will be an ongoing characteristic of this role.   
 


Experience, Knowledge and Skills
The following skills and knowledge are critical to the success of this role:
  • 5 plus years of managing credit card/bank processing and electronic commerce, particularly in a 'card not present' environment

  • 10 plus years of progressive management and leadership capability with strong experience in business process improvement

  • High integrity, strong work ethic and team player

  • Strong knowledge of financial and operational controls and systems, including data security and Sox

  • Strong analytical skills and ability to identify and resolve issues across many functions.

  • Take-charge, hands-on work style

  • Intellectual curiosity and complete professional ownership

  • Significant experience working with cross-functional teams

  • Overall business understanding and perspective

  • Strong interpersonal skills; ability to build highly functioning working relationships

  • CPA or CIA preferred
