Position Description:
The Reed Krakoff Label is set to launch is first collection which will include women’s ready to wear jewelry, handbags and shoes. This new line will cover fall, spring, pre-fall and resort collections and early plans are set to have up to 10 freestanding stores open. This new and exciting brand is backed entirely by Coach which is likely going to make it an instant competitor in the fashion world!
The Human Resources Director will support the Reed Krakoff Label to address all of their Human Resources needs. The Director will develop and implement human resource initiatives to support key business goals and strategies within the assigned business group. The Director will also proactively identify human resource initiatives that would substantially enhance the success of the business.
Key Performance Objectives
- Organization Support
- Guides business managers through org development and change management initiatives including organization design/evolution/development, restructuring, etc.
- Identify global strategic initiatives to support the Reed Krakoff Label, and partner on design and execution of solutions.
- Actively pursue knowledge of client’s business practices, policies, organization structure, roles and responsibilities to better understand the business.
- Build relationship with staff of client groups at all levels built on respect and trust.
- Be available and responsive to provide customer service in a timely and efficient manner.
- Design and lead team alignments for client groups; Partner with management to ensure goals are met.
- Recruitment
- Drive recruitment strategy and selection activities for professional staff thru Senior Mgmt in partnership with the Talent Acquisition team.
- Source and recruit at Senior levels
- Partner with Talent Acquisition department on best practices
- Work with hiring manager to ensure successful on-boarding for new team members
- Sales Team Support (Retail and Wholesale)
- Provide HR Support for retail stores including recruitment, administration, employee relations and performance management.
- Partner with Retail HR to develop Compensation Structures
- Partner with Retail HR on training and development for the stores. Work to identify appropriate training including sales and brand training and participate in implementation
- Employee Relations
- Partner with management to resolve employee relation issues.
- Provide coaching and counseling to management and staff.
- Collaborate with Legal Counsel on issues as appropriate.
- Performance Management Process (Mid-year and Year-end Review)
- Partner with Sr. Management and support the year-end compensation around ensuring consistent and fair decisions are made in the promotion, bonus and salary increase processes.
- Provide training and counseling on the annual performance management process.
- Other
- Maintain the salary budget/headcount file & organization charts for Client Group.
- Partner with Sr. Management to complete the annual salary & staffing plan.
- Participate in and/or direct special projects as required.
- Get involved in cross-functional HR projects (succession planning, training, employee survey).

An outstanding professional will have...
- Bachelor’s degree with 10-15 years experience in Human Resources field in a creative, retail, or brand focused environment. Luxury experience preferred.
- HR Generalist experience (employee relations, coaching/counseling, change management, etc.).
- Exposure to retail stores or start up company preferred.
- Experience dealing directly with Senior Management.
- Strong project management skills, team orientation, commitment to service and quality.
