Henkel is seeking an experienced lead HR Business Partner to assess and anticipate HR-related needs of the Henkel’s Corporate Functions including Finance, Legal, Corporate Communications and IT. This position will be a proactive partner with business leaders and will be directly responsible for the day-to-day HRBP responsibilities within the US. The HRBP will partner with business leaders to develop and drive talent outcomes and implement business people strategies; support business goals and initiatives by ensuring relevant people capabilities and organizational effectiveness in close collaboration with the HR network; counsel and coach business leaders on organization issues and advise on solutions. The HRBP role is critical to ensuring that we continue to develop our talent in line with business priorities as well as focusing on the future and continual learning. As a member of each functional leadership team, you will be responsible for employee relations, training, change management, OD/design, compensation & HR administration. This position serves as consultant to leaders on HR related issues. The role requires collaboration & communication with the HR Centers of Expertise, fellow HR Business Partners, and the client groups being supported.



 

** This position can be based in either Stamford, CT or Rocky Hill, CT with time shared between both locations on a weekly basis**

  • Partner with functional leaders and managers to provide day-to-day HR guidance.


  • Responsible for talent management activities to ensure most qualified employees are recruited, hired, and retained, including succession planning and annual performance review process.


  • Execute annual talent & compensation processes, change management initiatives, and deployment of new programs and processes.


  • Manage employee relations issues by conducting effective, thorough data collection to coach managers on effective issue resolution.


  • Ensure the reduction of legal risks through the effective handling of employee relations. Partner with legal department as required to mitigate risk and ensure compliance.


  • Provide day-to-day performance management guidance to leadership (coaching, counseling, career development, and corrective actions).



  • Work closely with leaders and employees to improve work relationships, build morale; increase engagement, performance and retention of talent.



Qualification:

Who we are looking for
Bachelor’s degree required; preferably in Psychology, Human Resources or Industrial/ Organizational Psychology.
PHR or SPHR Certification preferred.
7-10 years of HR generalist experience preferably in a fast-moving environment supporting corporate functions.
Working and practical knowledge of multiple human resource disciplines including compensation practices, organizational diagnosis, employee relations, diversity, performance management, and federal and state employment laws.
Demonstrated leadership and consulting skills; effective business partnership.
Experience working across country lines and operating in a global, multi-national environment.
Demonstrated success with organizational change activities.
Proven success in talent management and building competencies / capabilities at all levels of the facility.
Experience in a matrix organization
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to relate to employees at all levels within the organization. Proven ability to work collaboratively across functions.
