Director Human Resources with Military Experience - Southern U.S.

Our client is seeking a Director Human Resources with strong generalist skills to support the direction, coordination and overall management of all HR functions in support of the company’s 3500+ employee facility located in the South.

 

Critical responsibilities include: 

 

·    Labor relations - immediately assuming the chief negotiator role for bargaining and other critical labor issues. 

·    Employee relations - maintaining a climate of high morale for approximately 300 salaried employees..

·    Legal compliance - protecting both organizational and employee interests in accordance with company policies and governmental laws and regulations.  Knowledge of the SCA (Services Contract Act) is a must.

·    Training - overseeing and ensuring delivery of technical training for product manufacturing and maintenance professionals, as well as ensuring certification requirements are met.

·    HRIS integrated systems.

·    Employee benefits and compensation programs administration.

 

Position Requirements:

 

·    Ten or more years demonstrated and progressive HR generalist experience in substantial organizations with DOD as principal customer. 

·    Bachelors Degree a must; Masters a plus; SPHR a plus

·    High levels of skills in labor relations, employee relations, legal compliance, training and development, performance management and HRIS

·    Military experience a must

·    Individual must thrive on achieving results and working towards goals in a complex and challenging environment
