Under the general direction of the SVP, Marketing and Communications, develops, implements and supports the organization’s electronic marketing platform that drives revenue generation and organizational reputation. Leads a cross-functional team responsible for the development and management of e-commerce and e-marketing strategies Leads intranet development and ongoing development strategy in collaboration with internal communications and information technology. Serves as the organization’s strategist and futurist in internet and intranet development.
Directly oversees staff members, and is responsible for ensuring their work output is satisfactory and their concerns are resolved. Is responsible for all hiring and related personnel decisions, completing routine performance review evaluations, training, mentoring, scheduling,.
Supports internal clients by delivering marketing strategies derived from customer data, research and response analysis, and online development.
Evaluates, recommends and deploys cutting-edge technologies that support UH’s marketing and communications goals.
Develops and delivers extranet and/or intranet plans to functional leads, key stakeholders and target audiences across the system as required.
Leads internet development to drive awareness preference and volume to the organization’s hospitals. Physicians, service lines. Utilizes marketing date and acumen to track and reports on the effectiveness of Internet marketing success and appeal; and analyzes web service usage trends to improve and/or enhance functionality.
Develops and promotes online collaboration solutions, including physician portal and e-scheduling.
Promotes departmental brand and communications integration.
Maintains a solid grasp of information architecture and usability best practices relating to communication.
Oversees partnership with ITandS resources, and is responsible for the coordinated strategic development and testing of web pages and applications that are marketing related.
Evaluates and analyzes clinical/technical websites across the organization for effectiveness.
Performs search engine optimization for broad site and departmental projects.
Manages relationships with external Internet business partners.
Responsible for educating the organization on how to use Internet, email and online collaboration technologies
Maintains a strong understanding of web writing fundamentals, and facilitates site content development as needed.
Bachelor’s degree required.
Master’s degree preferred.
