Job Description:

Director Learning & Development position in the MA area, 6 direct reports including training specialists and e-learning/program manager with team located throughout the US - requires about 40% US travel.

 

This person will develop skills and competencies that support the client's effort to create a competitive advantage with their human capital thus enabling them to execute on their business strategy while creating a motivating environment for people to learn and deliver results.

 

Execution of leadership development programs, performance consulting, technical training and other related training initiatives.  Provide best practice training through various delivery methods such as classroom, e-learning, blending learning, coaching experiences, and action learning to the practice teams and resource groups.  Create and deliver learning curricula and programs for employees and manager which support business objectives, enhance performance and champions long term goal of building an enduring organization.  Identify training needs, recommend and implement solutions and evaluate training through metrics.

 

Education/Experience:

- Minimum 7-10 years of experience in training and/or organization development; leadership development, development of e-learning programs and management of system, development of technical training, needs assessment, root cause analysis, instructional design, program implementation and program evaluation. 

- Bachelor’s degree in OD/HR/Business field or equivalent experience.

- Demonstrated success in leading large scale projects and delivering on expected results.

- Demonstrated expertise in adult learning theory, instructional design, and training content development including e-based learning, classroom training and distance education;  survey experience, reporting, working with training programs that cover all organizational levels from customer service, technology to leadership skills

- Demonstrated success leading and mentoring a team.  Surveys preferred.

- Demonstrated ability to influence management and business groups toward a recommended solution.

- Proven ability to establish credibility, consult and be persuasive.
