Director - Marketing, Kohler Brand Sanitary Prod

Job Description:
A key leadership opportunity exists in Kohler Brand Marketing at Kohler Co. as a Director - Marketing, Kohler Brand Sanitary Products. Primary Function:
Operates as the recognized central authority relative to sanitary products and all aspects of the Sanitary business. Responsible for financial performance and strategic planning for the Sanitary Category, inclusive of all products that make up the particular category. Co-leads management of the Sanitary business' profitability, quality and delivery performance, financial planning and forecast/capacity planning. Develops profitable growth strategies, new product schedules and marketing plans that deliver upon the objectives of the Fixtures organization and Kohler Company. Proactively drives new levels of product innovation and marketplace leadership. Accountable for business analysis and execution of the sanitary business and product line initiatives. This position has five direct reports.
Responsibilities include management of multiple P&Ls and the Sanitary Category business, product development, product management, pricing, promotions, marketing communications and field communication/presentations. Coordinate marketing and product support with various departments including Sales, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Forecasting, Accounting, Customer Service, Quality, Channel Marketing, Pricing, Communications, Engineering, Industrial Design, Market Research and Legal.

Specific Responsibilities:
General Marketing Management: Operate as the recognized central authority relative to the Sanitary Products category, competitors' activities, the fixtures market, and Kohler's participation in it.
Provide senior management with information and recommendations on the most profitable strategies for the Sanitary Products business via New Product Scheduling, Strategic Planning, and longer-term business plan presentations.

Monitor current and anticipate future consumer and customer needs and preferences within the North American market by working closely with Market Research, Field Sales and Channel Marketing.

Responsible for identifying and analyzing potential acquisition candidates, where an acquisition represents an opportunity or solution for the company.
Consistently interact and share information with other members of the Fixtures and Faucets Marketing organizations, in addition to the rest of the division, in an effort to maximize the overall return.

Examines current processes, and recommends and implements improvements to align the business with Kohler Co. best practices.

Collaborate with other marketing leaders in other Kohler Co. product categories / business to ensure proper communication and alignment where necessary and to leverage synergies.

Business Management:
Operate as the Marketing leader in the cross-functional Business Team responsible for the financial performance of the Sanitary Business. Primarily seen as the leader within the business unit. As part of the Business Team, deliver upon strategic and financial objectives, and execute initiatives directed at driving profitability, growth, quality, service and sustained competitive advantage. Provide senior management with information on the financial performance of the business via frequent operating meetings. Participate in forecasting, production and capacity planning activities, providing relevant marketing input directed at driving product availability, delivery performance productivity, and leveraging economies of scale across the enterprise.

Product Management:
Product management responsibility for all products within the Sanitary Products category throughout all stages of their life cycle, from development to discontinuance, directed at maximizing the profitability of the Sanitary Products portfolio.
