Director Of Development-Samuel Waxman Foundation

Job Description:

The Director of Development will work closely with the Scientific Director, the Board of Directors and the Executive Committee for the Samuel Waxman Foundation. The Director of Development will provide the overall management of the Foundation. Key responsibilities include fundraising, special events, major individual cultivation and solicitation, internal management, overseeing the important grants administration function, Board development and liaison, external relations and communications. The challenge of this opportunity is to marshal the full potential of the Foundation and take it to its next level of excellence.

Job Qualifications:

Minimum: Master's degree preferred;
Excellent communications skills both verbal and written;
4-5 years of fundraising experience;
Essential to possess the style, stature and interpersonal skills needed to work effectively with the Board of Directors, staff, scientists, volunteers and friends of the Foundation.
