Practice Director - Business Consulting

Job Title: Practice Director, Business Consulting

Position Overview

This person will work with the sales team, recruiting and other Seattle office delivery leadership to help grow the Seattle business consulting practice.  The role will include billing, business development, and practice management components.

Billing: This role includes the requirement to "roll up your sleeves" and provide top level professional services on client engagements 65-85% on average over a year (depending on level - i.e. Principal or Director).  Successful candidate must be able to provide professional services in one or more of the following capacities: Project/Program Manager, Business Process Improvement Architect, Human Performance/Change Enablement Specialist, and/or IT Strategist/Temp-CIO.

Business Development:
Successful candidate must be able to grow the company portfolio by adding new clients and growing existing clients.  Must be able to leverage existing relationships in town to garner meetings and establish qualified prospects.  Must be able to establish strong working relationships with Statera Business Development Executives, fostering the ability to sell together (i.e. 4 legged sales calls).  Must be able to establish quick rapport with clients, clearly and effectively articulate Statera's value proposition, and craft a solution that leverages that value proposition to meet the customer's and Statera's needs.

Practice Management:
As a Director/Principal, the successful candidate will need to help recruit, develop, and retain our consulting staff.  In addition, the successful candidate must participate in marketing activities and be an active member in his/her community.

Requirements

·         8-15 years consulting experience in one or more of the following areas:

o        Program/Project Management

o        Engagement Management

o        IT Strategy Development/Portfolio Management

o        IT Governance Development/Management

o        Business Process Analysis/Improvement

o        Change Enablement

·         The successful candidate will ideally have started with a larger, well established consultancy.  In their tenure there, they should have learned the business, art, and science of consulting.  If the tenure was long enough, they should have demonstrated the ability to grow a service line within the practice.  If they left, then they will ideally have gone to a smaller firm that they helped grow (so that they understand the challenges of growing a small office).

Other Desired Skills/Abilities

·         Group Facilitation

·         Conflict Resolution

·         Personnel Management
