Job Description:
This position will support the development and implementation of new revenue initiatives including new product and channel introductions, research and test alternative marketing methods and channels, provide analytics to improve the profitability of existing revenue channels and to participate in other strategic revenue enhancement initiatives as may arise within the Specialty Products Division.
Requirements:
Qualified candidates will possess a Bachelor's degree in business or marketing with 5-7 years experience in insurance marketing, sales, or operations along with a strong understanding of direct marketing concepts and processes.
Preferred:
Bachelor's degree in marketing or business plus 10 or more years experience specifically in insurance marketing. Specific distribution channel, strategy formulation and execution expertise and exposure, as well as, managerial experience directing professional staffs with heavy exposure to marketing and sales operations.
Key Accountabilities:
Lead development and implementation of new revenue generation initiatives (including new product and channel initiatives) for the Specialty Products sales division.
- Aggressively drive and support SP effort to improve ROE and profitability through improved results analysis and utilization of enhanced marketing techniques.
- Manage product portfolio strategy including review and assessment of current products, evaluate changes to existing products, and make recommendations for new product development and channel initiatives, consistent with the SP strategy.
- Select, monitor and manage third party telemarketing contractors.
- Lead and direct internal resources in support of objectives, with managerial oversight of direct reports as may be required from time to time.
- Maintain an active communication with internal partners in vetting new product and channel initiatives. This would include (but not limited to) significant interaction with RBC compliance, legal, new business and systems departments.
- Lead special projects, as assigned from time to time.
