The key purpose of this job is to lead the regulatory revenue requirements aspects of the company's strategic program and rate initiatives. Responsibilities include the overseeing of financial analysis, evaluation and preparation of the revenue requirements models to obtain regulatory support and approval for the strategic programs and rate initiatives that demonstrate benefits to customers and ensure value to the company. In addition, the selected candidate will be responsible for ensuring that numerous compliance filings with various regulatory agencies are prepared accurately and filed on a timely basis. Please note that this position will require limited travel within our service territory; some travel may require overnight stays. · Research, identify and assess regulatory revenue requirements impacts for National Grid with respect to existing regulatory agreements/arrangements and new regulatory initiatives. · Develop and support innovative revenue requirement models and proposals that enable National Grid's businesses to create value for customers and the company from existing rate plans and new regulatory initiatives. · Ensure that compliance filings are prepared accurately and are filed on time. · Support business development and integration efforts requiring regulatory revenue requirement expertise. · Communicate with operating businesses on the filing and results of rate petitions in order to assist them with planning which meet the needs of the businesses. · Provide input to businesses supported by sound analysis to guide strategic decision-making. · Supervise and develop direct reports. Job Qualifications: · Bachelor's Degree in Economics/Finance/Business/Accounting with a minimum of five (5) years progressive relevant work experience OR Master's degree and three (3) years progressive relevant work experience. · Experience in financial and business case analysis and development. · Strong project management skills. · Excellent problem solving, strategic and analytical skills. · Excellent oral and written communication skills. · Ability to communicate and work with people at all levels and across organizational boundaries, including ability to comprehend and explain highly complex information to a less technical audience. · Demonstrated ability to lead teams and deliver project results in a comprehensive and timely fashion. · Regulatory experience across a variety of jurisdictions desired. · Knowledge of utility finance, accounting, ratemaking and revenue requirements desired. · Understanding of the US regulatory process desired. The Director Revenue Requirements is responsible for collaborating with and supporting National Grid's operating businesses in electricity delivery and electric generation. The position will work in conjunction with the pricing, regulatory strategy and program initiatives, regulatory compliance and regulatory legal teams, as well as members of the operating businesses, in support of the Company’s regulatory strategy.
Responsibilities also include representing National Grid at regulatory proceeding to enable the Company to obtain approvals for required revenue streams to support the existing business and new regulatory initiatives.
