This position is a key marketing research resource for News America Marketing’s Central Division, which accounts for over $300MM in sales.  This new role will function as a marketing research expert for the Central Division, supporting the sales organization by consulting on research results with sales and clients, including strong interaction with CPG client promotion management, brand management and marketing research/consumer insights departments. 

Specific responsibilities include:

  1. Consult with Central Division sales in helping them fully understand News America’s research results and help them develop appropriate marketing programs for client brands based on News America products accounting for the brand objectives and NAM product features
  2. Present News America Marketing research results to research and non-research audiences at clients
  3. Develop ongoing relationships with client marketing research/consumer insights departments with the goal of enhancing the credibility of NAM’s research results
  4. Participate in sales training for the Central Division
  5. Support NAM research initiatives working with the VP of Marketing Research such as the launch of new research techniques or working on company-wide analytic projects

 

-      College Degree; analytic or quantitative major a plus

 

-      MBA a plus

 

-  At least five years experience in a Consumer Packaged Goods marketing environment-must include experience as a corporate researcher at a U.S. packaged goods manufacturer, working on a consumer brand primarily sold in food/drug/mass retailers. Experience with a variety of relevant marketing research tools including IRI/Nielsen sales and household panel data, Spectra, store audits, media measurement, controlled store/matched panel research, copy testing, survey research, BASES/new product forecasting and Marketing Mix Modeling; experience managing marketing mix model projects a strong plus. Must have strong statistics background with the ability to explain confidence intervals, ANCOVA and multiple regression to non-technical individuals.
