About the Job
Under general direction, directs, coordinates, facilitates and manages the implementation of services in the assigned areas. Is instrumental in promoting quality of life for patients, personnel and the community served. Adheres to the principles of Service Excellence Guiding Behaviors and the philosophy and mission of Mercy in all aspects of job performance.
Qualifications:
1. Requires a Bachelor Nursing (BSN) degree with a current Iowa nursing license and Masters degree in related field, MSN preferred.
2. Requires at least three to five years progressive management experience. Must have working knowledge base of assigned services.
3. Excellent interpersonal/listening skills to interact effectively with individuals of all backgrounds, experience and educational levels.
4. Excellent written/oral communication skills. Demonstrates ability to communicate effectively with staff, physicians, and other allied health professionals.
5. Individual should be dynamic, creative and intelligent.
6. Successful individual should be a mature executive with a professional appearance/demeanor, excellent character, integrity and commitment.
7. Must be able to function effectively under stress.
8. May be requested to travel within the Siouxland region. When assigned to travel, a valid driver's license and proof of insurance will be submitted to manager prior to travel.
9. Must have a general working knowledge of computers and department specific software (i.e. Healthstream, internet, etc.)
10. Must be comfortable operating in a collaborative, shared leadership environment.
11. Must possess a personal presence that is characterized by a sense of honesty, integrity, and caring with the ability to inspire and motivate others to promote the philosophy, mission, vision, goals, and values of Mercy and Trinity Health.
