ROLE SUMMARY

The Director Biosimilar Pricing Strategy will be responsible for developing, championing and implementing pricing and contracting strategy for the Pfizer US Biosimilar portfolio of new product launches across managed markets, hospital system, and GPO customer segments.   The Director, Biosimilar Pricing Strategy  will be a key member of the US Biosimilar Team working closely with  biosimilar senior marketing leadership,  Payer Channel Access analytics teams, Biosimilar and PEH sales leadership, and brand marketing teams to support new product launches and grow the US Biosimilar Business.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Development and implementation of innovative pricing and contracting strategy for US biosimilar launch portfolio

  • Develop and implement pricing research plan
  • Develop mid to long term ASP forecast
  • Develop and champion optimal biosimilar price offering
  • Gain senior leadership approval for pricing strategy
  • Continuously monitor market performance and adjust pricing and contracting approach as necessary
  • US pricing lead interface with:
    • Finance
    • PCA analytics team
    • PEH and Biosimilar account management teams
    • PEH and PCA contracting team 

2. Development of corporate customer facing value proposition and core value story

  • Develop and implement innovative data generation projects to reinforce biosimilar and brand value proposition to US corporate customers.
  • Interface with US biosimilar brand team on field facing initiatives based on core value story team

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Knowledge of US buy and bill biologics marketplace and key players
  • Ability to analyze complex data and develop and implement related strategic recommendations
  • Ability to lead initiatives in a highly matrixed environment and gain buy in across multiple groups across Pfizer.
  • Ability to work under pressure, to take accountability for business challenges and tackle complex problems; willing to learn and embrace new approaches to modeling
  • Strong customer-orientation; an ability to see issues from the point of view of others
  • An "execution mindset" focused on getting things done quickly and simply
  • Outstanding writing, oral and presentation skills;  Ability to convey and effectively communicate pricing analysis project proposals and strategies, and the results of complex data analyses to diverse audiences
  • High level of integrity, transparency of conduct
  • Bachelor's degree required, MBA or other graduate degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 8-10 years relevant commercial experience in the pharmaceutical industry required, i.e. strategic planning, pricing, marketing, etc.

Travel for Meetings and customer visits less than 20% of time.
