Currently seeking an experienced underwriting manager who will be responsible for acquiring and retaining profitable property, casualty, and workers compensation accounts through sound underwriting principles reflective of company policy; overseeing field-based Marketing Underwriters who promote sales of various P&C products through the independent agency system; and managing a group of in-house Commercial Lines Underwriters.
Job requirements:
* Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
* Minimum five years commercial, multi-line, P&C marketing and underwriting experience, including workers’ compensation
* Four years prior supervisory or team leadership experience
* Relevant experience managing and developing the skills of commercial underwriting staff
* Excellent knowledge of the independent agency system
* Hands-on underwriting technical experience
* Relationship-building skills
* Valid driver’s license
* Industry designations are preferred
