Great opportunity with an industry leading Fortune 500 in the Philadelphia Market. Our client is one of the top local corporations and due to internal promotions they have an opening for a Director of Accounting in their corporate offices. This is a critical hire for the company as it is a leadership position. The ideal candidate will be a professional with a minimum of 12yrs of combined Big 4 public accounting firm as well as industry experience. This person should currently be in a leadership role with high level management experience. The details/qualifications for the position are as follows:
Responsibilities Summarized:
- Manager the corporate accounting team on all areas including the month end activities, AP/AR, and Payroll
- Preparation of monthly financial reporting packages
- Lead the consolidations of the parent company and all divisions
- Participate in SEC reporting practices
- Preparation of budgeting/forecasting initiatives
- Assist in managements/training/development of accounting staff
- Work with all levels of management on special projects
- Review corporate policies/procedures and make enhancements as necessary
Qualifications:
- Bachelor degree in Accounting/Finance. Advance degree preferred.
- CPA Required**
- Big 4 public accounting experience**
- Minimum 12yrs combined public and industry experience
- Strong internal controls, SEC Reporting, SOX, etc exposure
- Strong management/leadership abilities
