DIRECTOR OF AGENCY SALES
ABOUT THE JOB:
Position Overview –
The Director of Agency Sales for this Southeast-based Property/Casualty Insurance carrier will be responsible for the overall sales and marketing direction of the company’s Independent Agent driven business.
Responsibilities –
· Manage business development, sales distribution and sales function among the company’s Independent Agency group to increase both market share and profitability.
· Develop short and long term strategic sales goals.
· Use analytical tools to monitor the progress toward and achievement of the strategic goals.
· Oversee development of new and updated sales and promotional materials to enhance the overall sales effort.
· Utilize industry trade shows, agency events and web development as part of the Company’s overall sales efforts.
· Promote corporate profitability through the aggressive pursuit of proven profitable business.
· Promote a strong work ethic and business practice with the State Sales Management staff.
Education and Experience –
· B.S. Degree in a Business related discipline
· Minimum of 5+ years Sales Management experience, managing a group of 8+ sales personnel
· Insurance experience is not necessary, but is preferred
Required Capabilities –
· Strong moral character and ethics
· Ability to identify and prioritize competing companies and opportunities
· Demonstrated leadership skills in planning, organizing, leading and motivating staff
· Demonstrated technical knowledge and analytical skills to properly manage sales goals and objectives
· Willingness to travel up to 40%
· Computer and software literate
