Job Description:

The Medical Billing and Reimbursement Specialist is responsible to oversee documentation requirements for new software.  Must have a strong understanding of all documentation and qualification requirements for patients to receive Home Medical Equipment.

Responsibilities:

·         Strong working knowledge of billing system functions.

·         Strong knowledge of ICD-9, CPT, and HCPCS codes and HIPPA laws.

Qualifications:

·         2-3 years experience in Medicare Part B and Insurance billing for Home Medical Equipment.

·         Experience with documentation and qualifications for medical equipment.

·         HME/ DME experience is required.

·         Attention to detail and organization skills.

·         Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.

·         Ability to cross-train to other functions.

·         Working knowledge of business and communication software including MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and other related programs).
