Denham Resources seeks a Business Development - Director for an exciting opportunity with huge upside and potential for growth for the right candidate.
SUMMARY
The Director of Business Development will be responsible for aggressively penetrating new online media channels
and growing and maximizing our current presence through a diligent media planning and execution. The candidate
must be comfortable making tough media buying decisions and negotiating in complex, fast changing, high-pressure
situations. The Director of Business Development will have direct business P&L responsibilities so analytical skills
and being profitability-minded is very key. The candidate is expected to bring extensive online marketing
knowledge, long-standing relationships, and organizational experience to help contribute to the growth of the
organization.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS
• Must be eloquent and have excellent written communication skills internally and externally to drive results.
• Possess a strong work ethic and ability to create a sincere sense of urgency and accountability.
• Proven track record of growing online marketing start ups through diligent sales and operations.
• Proven ability to lead, manage, and coach young teams.
• Must compliment aggressive sales personality with a solid product understanding and strong analytical
mindset.
• Highly metrics driven -- define clear quantitative business objectives and persistently measure performance
against those objectives.
• Must be detail-oriented, well organized, and able to lead multiple executions across different departments
simultaneously.
• BA/BS degree required, MBA preferred.
• At least 8-10 years of online marketing experience, specifically in the online marketing, direct response, or
affiliate marketing space.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
• Drive Media Strategy & Planning and improve the profitability of the entire organization.
• Develop creative business solutions that create new revenue streams for the organization.
• Manage overall business P&L – set Channel, Account, & Affiliate Manager level goals.
• Manage a portfolio of large Publisher and Advertiser accounts.
• Evaluate the performance of each team member and provide consistent structured feedback.
• Manage and improve departmental processes such as lead prospecting, sales pitches, product training, etc.
• Develop keen understanding of all products in the marketing portfolio.
• Work collaboratively with Product, Monetization, and Technology Teams on product/platform
enhancements as well as new products.
• Responsible for communicating corporate directives back to entire department.
• Manage overall execution of departmental plans, whether operational or business, and communicate
performance/status back to CEO.
