Director of Business Development


Manage marketing team within program, with the primary objective of meeting or exceeding program census growth objectives on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis. Recruit, hire, train, develop and manage all Community Education Representatives (CER), Admission Coordinators (AC), Admissions Nurses and Clinical Liaisons, insuring that each is a fully contributing member of the program. Closely coordinate all sales and marketing activities with program General Manager, and hospice care teams to insure consistency, continuity, and complete coordination/cooperation between Sales and Marketing and program’s clinical operations. Manage related expenditures in a fiscally responsible manner in accordance with the Company’s budget. Travel as necessary.


Requirements Company's Ideal Candidate will have the following qualifications:
• Minimum age requirement of 18
• Bachelor’s degree with additional substantial healthcare experience and knowledge preferred
• A proven track record of success in sales and sales management in the healthcare industry
• Demonstrated ability to recruit, train and manage a sales team, as well as have the ability to motivate a team to achieve outstanding sales success
• Knowledge and experience in hospice and/or other healthcare services involving referral development
• Knowledge of and ability to manage admissions process to include commercial payer, Medicare and/ or Medicaid verification.
• Demonstrated ability to meet or exceed sales objectives.
• Excellent negotiating skills and financial acumen
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Compliance with accepted professional standards and practices
• Ability to work in an interdisciplinary setting
• Satisfactory references from employers and/or professional peers
• Valid driver’s license with maintenance of safe driving record and an automobile that is insured in accordance with state and/or company  requirements and is in good working order
• Satisfactory criminal background check
• Self-directed with the ability to work with little supervision
• Flexible and cooperative in fulfilling all obligations
