My client is looking for a superstar Director to run the care management function of the top rated Hospital systems in the State ! ). The Director of Care Management plans, organizes, implements, and directs care coordination activities. He/she is responsible for providing oversight and broad direction and strategic planning to case management, which includes care coordination, utilization review, social services, and discharge planning. Units reporting to the Director of Care Management include: care managers, nurse navigators, utilization review, social services, and discharge planning. The selected candidate will have at least three years experience in one of the clinical areas involved and have some supervisory experience. Must have a bachelors degree, masters preferred. Could be RN or MSW ! Must be licensed in the State of CO (or eligible)  At least 3 years of recent acute care clinical nursing or MSW experience related to care management required. Experience in utilization review preferred. Experience with medical statistical process and control procedures is required.  Successful candidate will have experience running a robust acute hospital care management program.
