Position Description


The Director of Client Development role is a full-time, high visibility, commission position that is responsible for successfully generating revenue from the sales of consulting engagements.


 


Our Directors of Client Development are responsible for developing long-term client relationships with companies in a defined territory that result in revenue generation from professional services/consulting engagements within our practice areas. The main responsibilities are as follows:


 


·         Targeting, blueprinting and penetrating various organizations at multiple levels of management within a defined sales territory.


·         Managing and executing the sales process with measurable levels of weekly sales activities, including; lead generation, contacts, client meetings, sales presentations, networking, issuing proposals and ultimately, closing business.


·         Maintaining and managing a consistent pipeline of closeable business, planning and developing account activities, and creating an overall sales strategy according to the needs (both current and future) of the client.


·         Acting as a liaison between the delivery team and key client personnel to ensure that client expectations are being continually met and exceeded. 


·         Communicating Adams Harris vision, mission, and values.


 


The Requirements



  • Bachelor’s degree; advanced degree and certification a plus (i.e. MBA, CPA, etc)

  • Minimum 7 years of consultative/relationship sales, developing executive-level client relationships; or 7+ years in a professional field related to our service areas within public accounting (Big 4 preferred) or in industry

  • Knowledge of corporate business management, particularly as it relates to the finance sector

  • Sales training preferred

  • Strong networking skills

  • First-class verbal, written and communication skills including the ability to initiate dialogue with senior-level decision-makers a prerequisite

  • Involvement with local business community

  • Demonstrable  track record of sales success
