The Director of Coordinated Care is responsible for staffing, organizing, developing and directing the hospital's utilization review and discharge planning programs.  Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to, admission certification, continued stay review, and discharge planning for patients of all ages and socioeconomic groups being managed in the acute care setting of the hospital.

BSN, current licensure in state of Louisiana, or eligible for licensure in Louisiana.  ICD-9 coding and DRG optimization training.  Experience with financial audits of medical records & hospital bills & medical record abstracting preferred. Familiarity with  regulations pertaining to treatment of Medicare & Medicaid patients.  Experience with JCAHO standards.  Minimum 5 years acute care experience plus two years management experience.
