Job Summary
Experian QAS is seeking a talented candidate to step into the role of Director of Finance.
This visible role provides an outstanding opportunity to join a fast paced business unit that continues to grow and expand its base. The selected candidate would be responsible for managing the Financial, HR, and Legal operations of the business.
The Director of Finance helps lead the company by being a member of the business units management team and by taking initiative with ideas regarding strategic and tactical management issues, bringing financial and general management expertise to the Business Units leadership.
The Director of Finance provides leadership for significant financial growth while following and/or establishing financial policies, practices, and procedures for the company.
Responsibilities
Principal financial responsibilities include acting as a controller and overseeing all financial functions of the business including, Banking, AP, AR, Collections, State Taxes, Audits, and Payroll. Other financial responsibilities include overseeing monthly close, understanding and analyzing financial performance, forecasting, driving all planning activities (budgets, strategic planning), and financial reporting. This position oversees and helps drive the financial integration into Experian.
Additional responsibilities include overseeing human resources and legal. This position has a staff of 4.
Qualifications
Strong analytical, planning and effective communication skills are necessary as well as being articulate and persuasive. Executive level experience is desired. Candidate should offer a good balance of risk-taking and judgment and be able to address tactical needs of business while providing a strategic focus. Candidate must possess demonstrated ability to "push back when appropriate" and the tenacity to pursue information needed to ensure sound business practices and achieve results. The ability to engage with all disciplines and work well with people at all levels while being an astute, diplomatic, team player is essential. The ability to ask tough questions, without alienating the audience, coupled with a philosophy that success of the company is his/her main objective is important. The Director of Finance will be able to function in a "hands-on" environment and have a strong work ethic.
Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Business/Finance/Accounting required. MBA and/or CPA is desirable. A minimum of 7 years of work experience on a progressive career growth path is required. Previous experience as a controller along with some treasury experience is a plus.
