Programs and services are offered to help seniors remain self-sufficient and are available to residents living in the Boston neighborhoods of Allston, Back Bay, Fenway, Mission Hill, North Dorchester, North Jamaica Plain, South End and Roxbury.

Ø Director of Finance
JOB SUMMARY:
Directs the financial affairs of the organization and prepares financial analyses of operation, including interim and final financial statements with supporting schedules, for the guidance of management. The Director of Finance is responsible for the Agency’s for Corporation’s financial plans and policies, its accounting practices, the conduct of its relationships with lending institutions and the financial community, the maintenance of its fiscal records, and the preparation of financial reports. The position involves supervision of Accounting Managers, Accountant, Bookkeepers, MIS, Facility/Purchasing Coordinator, and over physical property, equipment, and telecommunication systems.
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
1. Demonstrated experience in the management of financial and administrative affairs of human service or governmental agencies.
2. Demonstrated experience in working effectively with peers and professionals.
3. Demonstrated experience in planning, developing, and managing accounting systems, purchasing procedures and administrative procedures.
MINIMUM EDUCATION AND TRAINING REQUIREMENTS:
1. Master’s Degree from and accredited college/university in either business administration, public administration, accounting, managerial science or finance, plus three years experience in a human service setting, of which two years has been spent in a comparable supervisory position;
OR
2. Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college/university in the above mentioned subject areas, plus four years experience in a human service setting, of which three years has been spent in a comparable supervisory experience position;
OR
3. Six years experience in finance and administration in a human service setting, with five years spent in a comparable supervisory position.
